6. Orlando Magic – Mo Bamba, C, Texas

Everything we heard leading up to the NBA Draft revolving around the Orlando Magic was about the point guard position. Whether it was Collin Sexton or Trae Young, the Magic appeared to be eyeing one of the young guards.

However, they turned on a dime and elected to take Mo Bamba at No. 6. Perhaps this was a situation where they simply couldn’t pass up on Bamba, who somewhat surprisingly fell to Orlando at No. 6.

Grade: A

7. Chicago Bulls – Wendell Carter, F, Duke

The Chicago Bulls were all about Michael Porter Jr. in the weeks leading up to the NBA Draft. However, they also were interested in a big that could compliment Lauri Markkanen. In the end, they decided that Wendell Carter was a better fit for the team that MPJ.

And perhaps MPJ’s injury history and medical records scared them away, too. Either way, Carter is a great fit for Chicago. He can hit the outside shot, can score inside and has all the tools to be a fierce defender.

Wendell Carter is a really solid pick for Chicago. Not flashy, but solid.

Grade: B+
