Dennis Schroder, Atlanta Hawks

Dennis Schroder reportedly requested a trade from the Atlanta Hawks a couple months ago, but the Atlanta Hawks have obliged – yet. But I believe that will change soon. After selecting Trae Young in the 2018 NBA Draft, there’s really no reason for the Hawks to continue down this road with Schroder. If he wants out, he’s going to get out. You can’t have that kind of contamination in the locker room, much less in one that will soon be littered by young players.

With little-to-no leverage, though, the Hawks are going to have a hard time moving Schroder, who has been a fine player but isn’t anything special. The good news is that he’s only 24 years old and could still grow into a great player.

It only takes on team to bet on him, and at only $15.5 million per season he isn’t on the worst contract in the NBA.
