Portland shakes things up

Cavaliers receive: Evan Turner, Zach Collins, Caleb Swanigan, Wade Baldwin, 2019, 2021 first-round picks

Blazers receive: Kevin Love

Portland gets the star forward they’ve been needing while dumping the final two years of the horrible Evan Turner contract and Cleveland gets to try out three potential building blocks while waiting to cash in on those first rounders.

Love would space the floor far better than Al-Farouq Aminu and possibly be their most dangerous spot-up threat. A frontcourt consisting of Love, Aminu, Mo Harkless and Jusuf Nurkic is incredibly versatile. They would have the option to go big with Nurkic battling down low or small with Love or Aminu at center depending on the matchup. Trotting out five players who shoot 36 percent or better from downtown would make it difficult on opposing defenses.

The Blazers have been far too reliant on their dynamic backcourt duo, this will add a reliable post scorer and who can also space the floor and knock down 3-pointers at a high clip. Two first rounders is steep but they could put some heavy protections on the 2021 pick in case the Love experiment falls flat.
