Will Barton, Denver Nuggets

Contract: 4-years, $54 million

As a sixth man last season, Will the Thrill was hugely important for the Denver Nuggets. He put up career highs across the board. Nearly anyways; his 5.0 rebounds were second to his 5.8 in 2015-16. Aside from that, all career highs. He actually managed to up his efficiency on top of that too.

At 27 years old, the Nuggets have ensured that he is locked for his prime NBA years. His deal may be easily the most expensive on this list, but with his age, production, and importance to this team, it was still a steal. With so many teams still having little cap space thanks to the crazy spending summer of 2016, Barton took less than market value to stay put and run it back with newly maxed Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris.

A healthy season from Paul Milsap (who just earned $31.2 million last season, to put Barton’s contract into perspective) seems to be all this team needs to get back into the playoffs.
