Minnesota Timberwolves

Portland Acquires: Andrew Wiggins, Jeff Teague, Justin Patton

Minnesota Acquires: Damian Lillard, Evan Turner, 2019 top 10 protected pick

This trade makes sense for both sides. Portland will acquire a young player in Andrew Wiggins who still has an incredibly high ceiling (he’s 23) and Jeff Teague, which will still keep them competitive for a playoff spot.

While Wiggins contract may look ugly in 2022, it very well could be justified if the Trail Blazers tailor their gameplan to suit him best.

Damian Lillard to the Timberwolves could make them a threat to become the second-best team in the league.

While there are rumors that Jimmy Butler is unhappy with the competitive nature in Minnesota, he’ll be paired with a competitor as fierce as they come in Lillard. And of course, Karl Anthony-Towns will be in the conversation as the best big in the league. The biggest concern is if they’ll be able to gel together, considering all 3 are relatively ball-dominant.
