OAKLAND, CA – NOVEMBER 13: Aaron Gordon /

6. Orlando Magic

Once again the Orlando Magic will be drafting in the 4-6 range. Not the boldest of predictions considering their draft history. Every year it seems the Magic are never good enough to sniff the playoffs but also never bad enough to really add quality talent through the draft.

They at least managed to hold on to their guy by handing Aaron Gordon a four-year $80 million contract. He was their best player last season, which is great for him, but not ideal for a team looking to make the playoffs. Gordon has improved steadily throughout his career but still isn’t quite ready to lead a team to the postseason.

Unless Mo Bamba becomes a Rudy Gobert clone right from the start and Melvin Frazier is a premier 3-and-D threat from day one, this team is still nowhere near competing yet.
