Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

It might not be fair to put a rookie on this list, but Luka Doncic isn’t your average rookie. The 19-year-old has been playing professionally in the Euroleague for Real Madrid since 2015 and he’s coming off a season where he was the Euroleague MVP and champion.

He was also the MVP of his Liga ACB league and champion. Doncic has dominated overseas basketball this past year and now many are wondering how he will do in the NBA. Some believe that he was the best prospect in the draft and that the Dallas Mavericks got a steal in landing him in a draft night trade with the Atlanta Hawks. 

Others, however, feel that he’s overrated and will be a bust or disappointment.

Doncic will get a good opportunity to showcase his talents this upcoming season for the Mavs and it shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s been following the kid if he has a outstanding rookie season.
