There are many star NBA players that either have already retired ahead of the 2018-19 season or seriously considering it. Let’s take a look at seven stars that we may have seen the last of in the Association.

Richard Jefferson

NBA Champion

Richard Jefferson began his career in New Jersey, where, even as a rookie, he was a key rotation player off the bench for a finals squad. The next season he shouldered even more of the burden as a starter as the Nets again went to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year.

Jefferson led the Nets in scoring until Vince Carter was brought in via trade, he was still an incredibly important contributor during the Carter era as well. After New Jersey, he moved around, with stints in Milwaukee, San Antonio, Golden State, Utah, Dallas, Cleveland, and Denver.

Contributing to playoff teams almost every season, ultimately stepping up and playing a huge role in the Cavaliers championship in 2016, days before his 36th birthday. Jefferson has remained a steady contributor for nearly two decades, no easy feat in this league.
