TIER 4: WE’D APPRECIATE 1-16 PLAYOFF SEEDING

Spurs, Trail Blazers, Grizzlies, Clippers

In 18 of the last 19 years, the West has had a winning record against the East (ironically, 2009 was the only season this wasn’t true, the same year that Jameer Nelson, Mo Williams, and Devin Harris all made the East All-Star team).

Eight of the league’s top eleven players and quite possibly eighteen of the leagues top twenty-five reside in the West. If Adam Silver was contemplating playoff restructuring before the league’s best player near the peak of his powers took his talents to the West, he better be sweating it now. It’s damn time the NBA did away with Conferences and went with 1-16 playoff seeding.

Yeah there would be more travelling for all parties but I think the players fail to realize they get treated like freaking Greek Gods. They will survive an extra half hour on a private jet every now and then. Anyways, here are four teams that would probably make the playoffs in the East next year.
