9. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have had one hectic summer. And a big reason why is all the mess that has been surrounding Andrew Wiggins, who had a disappointing season a year ago, and the drama that has been following Jimmy Butler.

After refusing to sign a long-term extension this summer, the whispers only grew louder regarding Jimmy Butler possibly departing Minnesota. Even though he could get a richer deal if he just waits to re-sign next summer, the rumors have already begun.

And Butler has done little to quiet them, so perhaps there is something to this all. Minnesota could save their summer by signing Karl-Anthony Towns to an extension before the start of the new season. And they could use some good news.
