As he prepares to enter the Basketball Hall of Fame, we look back at Steve Nash‘s top 5 career moments in the NBA

After 18 illustrious seasons in the NBA, Steve Nash will be inducted into the hall of fame this weekend. Nash was drafted 15th overall by the Phoenix Suns where he played two seasons before being moved to the Dallas Mavericks.

And that’s where his career really took off. Nash quickly became the starting point guard for the Mavs and really burst onto the scene during the 2000-01 season where he averaged 16 points and seven assists on 49 percent shooting from the field.

Nash helped lead the Mavs to the Western Conference Semifinals before they fell at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.

After the 2003-04 season, Nash found himself back on the Suns. During his second stint with the Suns, he won back-to-back NBA MVP awards (2004-06) and was named the MVP runner-up in 2006-07.

Nash closed out his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, where injuries prematurely ended his NBA playing journey.

Unfortunately, Nash never won an NBA Championship during his playing career but still had plenty of career defining moments. Here are his top 5.
