Three Conference Finals Appearances

Steve Nash, unfortunately, never made an NBA Finals during his playing career but he did make three appearances in the Western Conference Finals. The first came during the 2002-03 season, when he was with the Dallas Mavericks.

Nash and the Mavs would come up short against the eventual NBA Champions, but it was a preview of what was to come for the Hall of Famer. During his first WCF appearance against the Spurs, he averaged 15 points and seven assists.

During the 2004-05 season, his first with the Suns, Nash would once again find his way to the WCF. At the hands of the Spurs once again, Nash and Suns would fall short. His third appearance came during the very next season, and this time Nash and the Suns would fall at the hands of the Mavs.

It was quite disappointing to see as great of a player like Nash never make an NBA Finals, but you can’t blame the effort. He just fell victim to a great Spurs dynasty.
