NBA Trade Rumors: According to a report, Jimmy Butler could hit the trade block sooner rather than later
The Minnesota Timberwolves appear to be tearing at the seams. Just before the start of last season, many were talking about how the Wolves could be the team that ultimately takes down the Golden State Warriors.
However, after a confusing season, the Wolves could be on the verge of falling back into mediocrity. And a big reason why is because they could be losing a veteran key cog. Rumors have surfaced over the last few months that he might not be happy in Minnesota.
He reportedly met with team management, which has sparked new speculation as to whether or not he will be a member of the Wolves by the end of the season. And, there’s rumors that he could hit the trade block before this year’s NBA Trade Deadline.

"[via ESPN]“The Timberwolves are negotiating a rookie extension with [Karl-Anthony] Towns now that could be completed before the start of the season. Rival executives believe that Butler could come available on the market by the February trade deadline if Minnesota fears that it will lose him for nothing in July free agency.”"
The Wolves ended last season in disappointment, falling to the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs as an 8th seed. Even though Jimmy B missed a good portion of the final stretch of the regular season, limping into the playoffs and then falling flat on their face is never a good look.
In addition, Andrew Wiggins continues to struggle in his development. He simply isn’t developing as many expected him to, as a former No. 1 overall pick.
The Wolves have some really difficult decisions to make this upcoming season. One of the bigger ones revolves around Jimmy Butler, who may or may not be on his way out of Minnesota.
