Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are probably the biggest threat when it comes to potentially making a deal for Jimmy Butler, in my opinion. They elected not to pursue a star to stick next to LeBron James in free agency this past summer, and opted not to clear the kitchen sink and make a deal for Kawhi Leonard.

A cheaper option could be Jimmy B. Even though he isn’t the best option to play next to LeBron, only because he struggles with his 3-point shot, he does bring a lot on the defensive side of the ball. And that, more than anything, is exactly what LeBron needs at this point in his career.

Plus, you need all the wing defenders you can get against the likes of the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets in the Western Conference.

The Lakers have the necessary pieces to get in the Jimmy B running, but it will ultimately come down to asking price and what LA would be willing to part ways with.
