After a exciting and newsworthy basketball summer, and as training camps prepare to open, we break down the biggest beneficiaries of the 2018 NBA offseason
As the 2018 NBA offseason comes to an end, organizations and players alike are preparing to begin training camp in the coming weeks. Now that the 2018 summer and free agency frenzy is over we can debate who won and which teams improved their team’s prospects over the offseason.
We break down the top 7 whom benefited most in the NBA in the recent 2018 Summer.
Kevin Love
Kevin Love is a major winner of the 2018 NBA Off-Season for several reasons.
1) Love signed an extension on his current contract for four years, $120 million. This move signaled that the Cleveland Cavaliers was committing completely to having Love as one of their main players going forward.
2) With the departure of superstar LeBron James to Los Angeles, Love will get greater opportunities in Cleveland. We can expect Love to showcase more of his talents with their being a transition to Love being Cleveland’s main offensive option in the light of James leaving.
3) In drafting point guard Colin Sexton, Cleveland is giving a excellent compliment to Kevin Love on the basketball court. Sexton is a true floor general that can break down the defense and create easy opportunities for Kevin Love on offense.
Expect big numbers from Kevin Love this season, and don’t be surprised if this team makes a run towards the playoffs.
