Key Subtractions: C Brook Lopez, PG Isiah Thomas, PF Julius Randle

The Los Angeles Lakers find themselves as major winners this summer mainly for one real reason and that’s acquiring arguably the NBA’s best player in LeBron James.

Coming into this offseason, the Lakers were projected to continue growing their young core in PG Lonzo Ball, SF Brandon Ingram and PF Kyle Kuzma and possibly compete for a playoff birth. However, adding LeBron James and veterans Point Guard Rajan Rondo, SG Lance Stephenson, C Javale McGee and SF/PF Michael Beasley instantly accelerates the expectations of the 2018-19 Los Angeles Lakers.

It also shakes up the Western Conference and we can expect for LA to not only make return to the NBA playoffs but to also potentially go far.
