Oklahoma City Thunder
Key Additions: PG Dennis Schroder, Center Nerlens Noel, SG/SF Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, SG/SF Hamidou Diallo
Key Subtractions: SF Carmelo Anthony, SF Corey Brewer, PF Nick Collison
After a season in which OKC’s Big 3 experiment didn’t work out as hoped by bowing out in the 1st Round of the Western Conference 2018 Playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder did a incredible job behind Top NBA Executive Sam Presti in the 2018 offseason.
The Thunder were able to flip Forward Carmelo Anthony to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal that netted them point guard Dennis Schroder and promising young wing player in Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot from the 76ers. With the free agent signing off defensive gem Nerlens Noel as well as pulling off acquiring Hamidou Diallo in the 2018 NBA Draft, who was arguably the most impressive athlete of this year’s draft class.
The biggest move for the Thunder this offseason, however, was in re-signing Paul George, thus setting the Thunder up as legitimate title contenders this season in the Western Conference.
