Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons

Over the last three seasons, there’s no questions that the Detroit Pistons are at their best when Reggie Jackson is at his best. The only problem with that, however, is the fact that Jackson hasn’t exactly been at his best all that often in the last few years.

If it’s not his rhythm when he’s on the floor, it’s the fact that he can’t make it on the floor. Because he’s injured. Over the last two seasons, Jackson has missed nearly 70 games combined for the Pistons. No matter who you are, when you’re only playing roughly half the season, it’s hard to get in any type of playing rhythm.

And that’s probably one of the biggest reasons why the Pistons haven’t made the playoffs since Jackson’s career year in 2015-16. Since then, though, he’s been just another guy. If the Pistons are going to be any kind of relevant in the Eastern Conference this season, they need Reggie Jackson at his best.
