Lonzo Ball, Los Angeles Lakers

With LeBron James on the roster now, a bit of the spotlight will shift away from Lonzo Ball this season for the Los Angeles Lakers. And that could make the game a lot easier for Mr. Big Baller Brand. However, there is also added pressure to deliver when the opportunity comes knocking.

That’s been the big disconnect between players that have been open and willing to play next to LeBron and players that simply can’t put up with that type of pressure/scrutiny.

A breakout season from Ball would be huge, not only for his individual brand but also for LeBron and the Lakers. Many are already counting out the Lakers as a potential contender in the West. After all, what concrete player/star is there beyond LeBron? No one, really.

But that’s where the opportunity presents itself for some of the younger players, like a Lonzo Ball. If Ball can have a big season, not only will his brand grow, but all of a sudden this Lakers season doesn’t become a wasted year for LeBron.
