Tyreke Evans

Signed with Pacers – one-year, $12 million

Tyreke Evans had an awesome year for the Memphis Grizzlies last season. It wasn’t meaningful playoff basketball or anything, but Evans was damn good. He averaged 19.4 PPG, his highest average since his rookie season (he won Rookie of The Year) and shot 39 percent from 3-point range. Evans will definitely be an excellent addition to Indiana’s bench this season.

Evans size and ball handling ability is a huge plus, and even though he’s not a pure point guard, it can never hurt to have more quick guards who can push the pace, especially when you have guys like Myles Turner and Victor Oladipo on the run.

The only downside of the signing his health issues. Last season, Evans appeared in just 52 games, and in 2015-16 and 2016-17, he played in just 65 games, but coming off of the bench, it wouldn’t kill the Pacers if they missed him for a few games. If he’s healthy though, Evans will help this gritty Pacers squad continue to thrive.
