Exploring five players who, if put in the right position, will make a jump to NBA stardom during the 2018-19 season

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, you know that the NBA is a star-driven league. The big names and recognizable faces run this association, and it might be the most marketable professional sports league in the America right now.

But specifically on the basketball floor, you can’t really do any substantial winning in the NBA without stars – unless you’re the Detroit Pistons, who have been really the only exception to the rule in a few decades.

And, as many teams have found out, it’s not easy to hit on players that develop into stars. Even when teams hit on stars – whether it be via the draft or through old fashioned development – it’s hard to keep them. Especially if you’re not a big city.

That’s a different article for a different day, though.

Which players are next? It’s something we always like to theorize about, even if we’re completely off. Nevertheless, here are five players that will reach stardom this season.
