Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets

This is not the first time you’ve heard this and it won’t be the last time. The Charlotte Hornets have some very big decisions to make over the next few months and the biggest one is whether Kemba Walker is a part of this team’s long-term plans.

Ideally, the answer to this question is yes. However, he’s the best trade piece on this team’s roster and if they want to hit the reset button and start the rebuild all over, he’s the best chance at this team getting a jumpstart to accomplishing that.

With Walker on the roster, this team will never be bad enough for them to secure a top 5 pick in the NBA Draft. It’s the type of NBA hell where you’e not bad enough to earn a top pick but also not good enough to make a difference or play a factor in who comes out of the Eastern Conference.

This is not a great spot for the Hornets to be in, and their only way out might be to trade Walker.
