Puzzle Piece One: Anthony Davis changes agents

Two weeks ago rumors started to swirl that Davis was going to switching agents ahead of his impending free agency. While some chatter started as to which agency would take over for Davis, he made the choice that made his intentions as clear as they could be. He chose to sign with Klutch Sports, headed by Rich Paul aka LeBron James’ agent/best friend.

Paul represents other NBA superstars like Ben Simmons and John Wall, so this seemingly is not the biggest deal in the world. That would only be true if LeBron hadn’t just switch teams to the winningest franchise is NBA history. This would be true if the Lakers hadn’t clearly kept there options open for pairing another superstar with LeBron, when they clearly need one, a move LeBron is seemingly just blindly on board with.

Nothing about LeBron in the past eight years makes me feel like he would just go to a 35-win team without a plan to acquire some help. I personally do not think LeBron would prefer to play with any other player (except maybe KD, but I would still guess Davis). Need I say more?
