Puzzle Piece Two: NBA pundits seem certain
As a hoops head, naturally I consume just about as much NBA media as I can handle everyday. I try to do a good job of listening out for when some of my favorite writers/talkers give nuggets of real information. My favorite podcast is the Bill Simmons podcast, hosted by the man himself who wrote The Book Of Basketball.
He has more sources in the league than just about anyone and he has even seemed pretty confident about the Boston Celtics‘ chances (his favorite team, and a team he clearly has an in with) of acquiring Anthony Davis when he comes free. When the news about Davis switching agents broke, then ultimately choosing Klutch, Simmons’ tone on Twitter was clear.
To sum up Simmons’ tweets: 1. If Davis chooses Klutch, get a Davis Lakers jersey. 2. Davis chose Klutch, I told you, go print a Lakers Davis jersey. Other NBA talking heads that I trust based on them being spot on about information in the past like Jalen Rose or Colin Cowherd, have all made it a point in the last week to not only say they think Davis wants out, but to say he will in fact be a Laker.
The tone and confidence of these statements is key.
