The Jimmy Butler Drama

Opening week matchups: Spurs, Cavaliers, and Mavericks

News broke out last week of Jimmy Butler reporting to his first practice and challenging players and management.

His most critical statement was to the Wolves GM Scott Layden:

"“You f—ing need me, Scott. You can’t win without me.”"

Butler’s discontent with the Minnesota Timberwolves was made known in late September and there were trade talks with the Miami Heat that failed.

Now that Butler won’t be traded just yet, the Wolves will have to try and mend their issues for the time being and put themselves in a position to contend.
