Las Vegas

This city went from having zero franchises to two within five years. The NHL’s Golden Knights were an expansion franchise in their second season in Nevada, while the Raiders will be leaving Oakland for Vegas in the next few years.

After the incredibly warm reception and nearly a miraculous Stanley Cup run by the Golden Knights, the city showed it knows how to treat a pro sports team. The NBA should not be any different.

It’s also not crazy to imagine that the Golden Knights and this new NBA team would share an arena. There isn’t another team that consistently plays in the arena, as the UNLV basketball team only plays a game or two at the stadium annually.

Financial concerns could be quelled easily, as the city has massive revenue thanks to it’s notorious casinos and other attractions.

Las Vegas could find a way to bring an NBA franchise aboard, though it would probably take some time for the city to adjust to having the Golden Knights, Raiders and this NBA team all around after not having any teams so recently.
