Which are the five most explosive starts through the first season of the 2018-19 NBA season? We explore and debate whether it can be maintained.

The 2018-19 NBA season is a week old, and we’re beginning to see a few interesting trends through the first handful of games. Whether it’s the struggling powerhouses or the surprising underdogs, there are a number of thought-provoking storylines that have begun to take shape.

A few quick talking points this week will be the hot start by the Denver Nuggets, the underwhelming performances by the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers and how the Eastern Conference is perhaps more wide open than originally thought.

Oh, and there was also that “fight” during the Lakers and Houston Rockets game a few nights ago that resulted in multiple players being suspend.

The NBA is not short of drama, and it’s only been one week – for most teams, two or three games. Buckle in, the season has just started. And it’s only going to get better.
