25. Sacramento Kings (3-3)

The Sacramento Kings are better than last year, there’s no question about that. And De’Aaron Fox looks good to start the season. The second-year point guard is averaging 18 points, seven assists and four rebounds per game through the first six games.

Marvin Bagley, the team’s 2018 first-round pick, has also had his bright spots, but will continue to be up and down for the remainder of the season. They just don’t have enough talent to be a factor this season. And placing them here at No. 25 has a lot to do with their history.

Even though they’ve been solid to start the year, I still have my reservations about their potential to be a high 30-win team. I thought this team would be worse than the pace they’re on at the moment, so I apologize for that. I’m still not sold on this being an average team, though.
