In tonight’s NBA League Pass must-watch, Anthony Davis makes a return to lineup to face off against the Golden State Warriors
Tonight features a healthy slate of games, though (to be honest) there’s only one real game that is must-watch. I don’t want to lead you down the right path, and don’t want to sit here and spread false hype for games that don’t exactly warrant it.
But before we get to tonight’s must-watch NBA League Pass game of the night, let’s get a quick summary of what transpired last night in the NBA:
- The Cleveland Cavaliers won their first game of the season.
More from Sir Charles In Charge
- Dillon Brooks proved his value to Houston Rockets in the 2023 FIBA World Cup
- NBA Trade Rumors: 1 Player from each team most likely to be traded in-season
- Golden State Warriors: Buy or sell Chris Paul being a day 1 starter
- Does Christian Wood make the Los Angeles Lakers a legit contender?
- NBA Power Rankings: Tiering all 30 projected starting point guards for 2023-24
- The Boston Celtics edged the Detroit Pistons, in a battle between potential Eastern Conference contenders.
- The Toronto Raptors remain undefeated with Kawhi Leonard in the lineup, beating the Philadelphia 76ers with relative ease.
- The Houston Rockets continue to struggle with James Harden out, losing to the Portland Trail Blazers. And it wasn’t even that close.
- The Washington Wizards continue to look terrible, losing to the Memphis Grizzlies.
- The Oklahoma City Thunder appear to be hitting some momentum, winning their second game in a row after their slow start.
New Orleans Pelicans (4-2) @ Golden State Warriors (7-1)
Time: 10:30 p.m.
After suffering a loss during the first week of the NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are absolutely red-hot. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are both playing like true NBA MVP candidates and Kaly Thompson is shooting at an absurd level.
This matchup has everything that you’d want on a Halloween night, including the return of Anthony Davis who has missed the last two games for the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans have struggled without Davis over the last two games, and have dropped both matchups.
They hope to snap their losing streak against the back-to-back defending NBA Champions. Though, as expected, it won’t be easy. This will likely be a foreshadowing to a playoff matchup later this season, as both of these teams are expected to have a big hand in who comes out of the Western Conference.
As you hand candy out to the neighborhood kids, this should be a fun game to wind down to.
