Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

Honestly, I was not on the Luka Doncic train leading up to the draft. However, Doncic is slowing changing my mind. The one thing that does bother about him is that he has a high number of turnovers. I know that issue should change as he gets better at playing in the NBA, but for right now, it’s an issue.

The scoring punch he is providing for the Dallas Mavericks is tremendous though. Currently, Doncic is leading the Mavs in scoring at 20.4 points per game. Doncic is shooting 46 percent from the field. That percentage needs to come up for him to be more efficient for the Mavericks.

One surprise is the rebounding he is providing for his team. Doncic is averaging 6.4 boards per game. This is allowing him to get the ball out on the fast break and push the action. Once Luka gets used to the NBA game the sky will be the limit for him.
