NBA: 8 rookies who have impressed in 2018-19
Collin Sexton, Cleveland Cavaliers
Coming out of Alabama, Sexton was looked at as a high energy, push the pace type of player. For the Cavaliers who desperately need somebody to take over a LeBron-less team Collin Sexton has been a little up and down.
Sexton has almost as many turnovers as assists and that is not what the Cavaliers were looking for in their rookie. Then there is the other side of being an NBA Rookie. This young NBA rookie has shown the confidence to take some big shots for Cleveland.
His game against Detroit where he had 14 points, five assists, and only one turnover could be the start of something special for Collin Sexton. The Cavs hope this is the case.
At the end of the day, these NBA rookies have all the potential in the world to become the next generation of NBA stars. The players that work hard on their game, put time in the weight room, and learn how to be a professional athlete will be the ones that separate themselves from the others.
It’s going to fun to see which ones become the future stars of the NBA.
