NBA Trade Rumors: Cavs shopping Kyle Korver?
NBA Trade Rumors: The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly shopping Kyle Korver, who could warrant some interest around the league from contenders
The Cleveland Cavaliers finally won their first game of the season yesterday, but that doesn’t mean all is fixed. In fact, this team is still very much a mess and will only continue to to spiral out of control with the absence of Kevin Love.
The season is pretty much lost at this point and it would be beneficial if the Cavs would entertain the chance to cash some of their assets in for picks or expiring deals. And perhaps that’s what the team is trying to do with Kyle Korver, who is reportedly being shopped.
According to ESPN’s Brain Windhorst, the Cavs are testing the trade waters on the 3-point specialist.

"[via ESPN]Meanwhile, the Cavs have initiated testing the trade market for guard Kyle Korver in the past several days, sources said. There was some trade interest in Korver last summer, and the Cavs are circling back on those talks."
Korver is the type of player that will be able to help a contender or a playoff hopeful over the next few months of the season (if he gets dealt now) or down the stretch (if he’s not moved until the NBA Trade Deadline).
Either way, there’s no way a player like Korver should be rotting away on a Cavs roster that has absolutely no chance of playing meaningful, playoff basketball. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of return the Cavs could get for a player like Korver, who is still a difference-maker in the NBA today.
He’s coming off a season in which he shot 44 percent from 3-point range, but simply hasn’t gotten the volume to match that level this year. There’s no question that in spurts, Korver could still be effective in today’s game.
