In this week’s NBA Power Rankings, we explore whether the Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks can sustain their early-season success and the Boston Celtics hitting their stride

After getting off to a somewhat rough start to the season, the Boston Celtics have turned it on as of late, winning four games in a row (four of their last six, overall) including a number of big wins over rival Eastern Conference teams.

Gordon Hayward is getting more and more comfortable with the team, and as a whole are looking more and more like the team that many picked to win the East outright this season. That’s expected, though.

On the other hand, two teams have come out this season and absolutely shocked the NBA world with how effective and efficient they’ve been so far this year. And those two teams are none than the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets, who each have one loss apiece after three weeks of the NBA’s regular season.

Could they continue to play at such a high level, though? These are two teams that many believed would make the playoffs this season, but not two teams that most expected to finish in the top 3 of their respective conferences.

So far, though, they’ve looked every bit the part. Here is this week’s NBA Power Rankings.
