2012 NBA Draft

Drafted:

29. Marquis Teague, Kentucky

Could you believe the Bulls drafted Marquis Teague over Draymond Green? Teague averaged two points in both of his two seasons with the Bulls.

Passed up:

35. Draymond Green, Michigan State

Draymond Green the two-time All NBA and 2017 Defensive Player of the year, became one of the biggest steals of the 2012 NBA Draft. He has been one of the biggest reasons why the Golden State Warriors has won three NBA championships.

The NBA Draft is one of the most efficient ways in which teams in the Association can rebuild and compete. However, if teams continue to miss in the draft, it’s hard for them to return to relevancy (unless they hit big in free agency).

That’s one of the biggest reasons why the Chicago Bulls have been largely irrelevant over the last two decades, and if they want to change that they’re going to have to start hitting on drafts.
