As Thanksgiving Day quickly approaches, we take a closer look at what every team in the NBA should be thankful for during the 2018-19 season

Thanksgiving is here. Well, practically here. As has become somewhat of a yearly staple of Sir Charles in Charge, we will explore what every team in the NBA should be thankful for during the 2018-19 season.

We begin our tour with a team that could have their next franchise player already on the roster thanks to a great 2018 NBA Draft decision.

Atlanta Hawks

A promising Trae Young

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the biggest thing the Atlanta Hawks should be thankful for is their promising young rookie. Trae Young, who many suggest could be one of the favorites to win the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award, has been huge for this franchise this season.

Through the first month of the season, Young is averaging 17 points, eight assists and three rebounds per game this season. He’s struggling a bit with the consistency of his shot but the production is there, and has had flashes of brilliance throughout this season. There is promise moving forward for the Hawks.
