After being swept by the Pelicans in the first round of the NBA Playoffs last season, all seemed lost for the Portland Trail Blazers. However, through the first month of the season, the Blazers look like they’ve recovered.
The Blazers are the top seed in the Western Conference at the moment, with a 12-5 record and one of the primary reasons why is Damian Lillard, who continues to get better and lead by example on this team.
I still don’t know if this team can translate their regular season success to the playoffs, but they have the look of a team that is determined to prove the vast majority – including myself – wrong.
