Chris Bosh‘s health

Shortly after giving Chris Bosh a max contract, the same summer LeBron decided to make the move back to Cleveland, the beginning of the end (due to injury) for Bosh was about to birth. And while it was certainly sad to see, the repercussions it had on the franchise were deep.

Before they knew what exactly was going on with Bosh, the team traded two first-round picks for Goran Dragic. The plan was to make a quick rebuilding pivot and craft the team around Dragic and Bosh. At the time, it was easy to see why they decided to go this route.

After all, at the time, Dragic was at the top of his game and one of the top 10 point guards in the NBA. Bosh was still in his prime, and was slowly getting back to his all-star self. However, Bosh and Dragic never played together that season.

Bosh would miss the entire second half of the season due to blood clots. To make a long story short, Bosh would play the first half of the following season before being diagnosed with another blood clot. He would never play again for the Heat.

The Dragic and Bosh plan was doomed.
