Con 1 – With Butler’s recent history in Chicago and now Minnesota there’s reason for concern fitting in with Philadelphia
There’s no way around the facts that the uber-competitive Jimmy Butler has bump heads in the past with previous teammates, coaches, and Front Offices. In Chicago there was a couple of disputes leading to more drama in his short stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves and former Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau.
With Butler reportedly not developing a very good relationship with the Wolves’ young stars Karl Anthony-Towns and Andrew Wiggins there is a growing concern for Butler’s team-first reputation. We can question whether or not Butler will be able to assist in the development of the Sixers comparable two young stars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
This will be an opportunity for Butler to rebuild his public reputation and showcase whether he can be a part and contributor of a championship team.
