Boston Celtics

Record: 11-10

Grade: D

The Boston Celtics are 11-10 and from all indications have had a disappointing start to the 2018-19 NBA season. By this time in the year, many expected the Celtics to be a few games ahead of the rest of the Eastern Conference.

However, instead, the team has limped out of the gate and is only one game over .500, sitting in the 7th spot of the Eastern Conference. Jayson Tatum is beginning to wake up a bit, but struggled mightily to start the season. Gordon Hayward is still trying to find his comfort level, and spot in the rotation, coming off of injury.

Don’t rule out a trade over the next few weeks for the Celtics, especially if they continue to struggle. There’s no way Danny Ainge remains in this spot. They have to turn it around, and eventually will. Their start hasn’t been pretty, though.
