The case of Dragan Bender being drafted into a horrible situation. Bender is like many other players before him that career suffered from just being drafted by the wrong team. But Bender is still extremely young and has enough time still to materialize his great potential.
Due to many infrastructure problems with the Suns that lead to numerous leadership changes the Suns simply dropped the ball on the development of Dragan Bender.
Bender came into the league with “Kristaps Porzingis 2.0″ hype, only to never be given the same chance and opportunity to grow into his game for the NBA. Bender was wrongly casted as comparable to Porzingis, which it appears could of hindered his developed as to where his game was nothing close enough to a Porzingis.
If the team like the Hawks are to go after the young Bender, who is still only 21, they might be getting a budding gem.
