7. Rui Hachimura, F, Gonzaga
The more I watch Rui Hachimura, the more I like him. He couldn’t have been more impressive than his showing as his Bulldogs beat Duke just a few weeks ago. In his third season at Gonzaga, Hachimura is averaging 22 points and six rebounds on 57 percent shooting from the field and 47 percent from 3-point range.
Even though he still has his weaknesses on various areas of his game, and sometimes on the defensive side of the ball, often his athleticism makes up for those off spots. He can play both on and off ball and when he’s at the top of his game often looks like the best player on the floor.
I don’t think any team will project Hachimura as a franchise player, but he could be a really good building block for any team picking late in the top 10.
