NBA Trade Rumors: Now that the Chicago Bulls are looking to trade Jabari Parker, let’s take a look at five teams who should jump at the opportunity
Simply put, the Jabari Parker experiment with the Chicago Bulls didn’t work. Less than halfway through the 2018-19 NBA season, it’s been reported that the Bulls are looking to trade their prized free agent signing.
During the summer, the Bulls signed Parker to a two-year, $40 million deal. However, when you really break it down, it’s really just a one-year deal due to the team option for the second year. Chicago has elected to abort on this experiment after it was reported that Parker had fallen out of the team’s rotation.
Question is, will there be a market for Parker? The short answer, probably. Parker is a 23-year-old talented offensive talent that is still growing into his own as a player. The bigger question is what the Bulls would be seeking in exchange for Parker. Will they be desperate enough to take a first-round pick or an expiring contract just to get him off the roster?
That’s unlikely, but we’ve seen stranger things. And it should be noted that Parker is really on an expiring contract, that could turn into a two-year deal best-case scenario. So which teams should be in the Jabari Parker game? Here are five teams that probably should make a call.
