Chicago Bulls: How Jabari Parker can save his career
By Zamir Bueno
Jabari Parker can save his career by going to a team that allows him to dominate the ball when he is on the floor, like the Detroit Pistons
"“Parker’s camp has indeed done so, hoping to work with the front office in an amicable effort to find Parker a better situation.”"
Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times said this in reference to Jabari Parker’s camp requesting a trade after he was removed from the rotation by interim head coach Jim Boylen. However, one can argue that his camp made a mistake in demanding a trade because they have no control over his next destination.
The Chicago Bulls are going to trade Jabari Parker to the team that gives them the best assets in return for his services. For instance, Kevin O’Connor of the Ringer stated that the Utah Jazz are one of the teams interested in acquiring Parker:

Beyond an awkward fit with Rudy Gobert, a partnership between Jabari Parker and the Jazz would not work because their offensive system does not accentuate his strengths. Parker developed the reputation of being a player who thrived with the ball in his hands as he came up through the amateur ranks (via DraftExpress).

Jabari has continued to exhibit an ability to thrive as a ball handler in the NBA when he is given a significant amount of touches. For example, Parker touched the ball 84 times during a home game against the Houston Rockets in 2016. The 84 touches played a vital role in him scoring 36 points and getting five assists during 40 minutes of action.
A potential trade to Utah would prevent Parker from having the ball in his hands as they run a system centered around ball movement. One example of this is when Rubio walks the basketball up to the 3-point line and passes it to a teammate standing in the high to mid-post area.
The teammate will turn sideways and hold the basketball until Ricky or the teammate standing in the corner comes to get the ball from him to start the dribble handoff.
Therefore, he and his camp would be better off talking to the Bulls about a buyout. A potential buyout would allow his camp to talk to interested teams to determine what organization is the best basketball fit for Jabari Parker.
An ideal basketball situation for him would be with the Detroit Pistons as the backup to Blake Griffin. The Pistons are currently running a LeBron James type offense with Blake Griffin where he dribbles the ball to the 3-point line and analyzes the entire defense. If one of the defenders is sagging off a shooter, he will pass the basketball to the shooter for an open 3-pointer.
On the other hand, if everyone stays home, he will study everything about his defender to determine the next course of action. If the defender decided to sag off of him, Blake would take the open jumper. But, if the defender played him tight, he will attempt to drive towards the basket for a score, to draw a foul or attract a double team.
Distance is not the only aspect of the defense that Blake analyzes as he also pays attention to the size of his defender. If he has a smaller defender, Blake will back him down into the post to score or throw a cross-court pass to a teammate behind the arc.
Consequently, when Blake goes to the bench, Jabari would slide into the role and have the opportunity to dominate the ball for 12-15 minutes per game.
