Montrezl Harrell, Los Angeles Clippers

When Montrezl Harrell came to the Los Angeles Clippers in the Chris Paul trade, many people considered him a throw in player. Well, he’s not a throw in player anymore. He just may be the most effective player on the Clippers.

So far in the 2018-2019 season Harrell is sitting with career highs in scoring and rebounding, but has one of the best field goal percentages in the NBA. Montrezl Harrell is averaging 15.1 points per game through 29 games which is up from his career average of 9.1. Getting his points average up six points a game is a result of shooting 63% percentfrom the field.

When you can convert with the ball, averages go up. Plus, the other aspect of his ability to shoot well is that the coaching staff and fellow Clipper teammates trust him more when he is out on the floor. His rebounding is much better too. Harrell is up to averaging 6.7 boards a game. Montrezl is grabbing three more rebounds a game which is a result of being on the floor more and more. I see Montrezl Harrell as a definite most improved player award winner.
