NBA Christmas: What every team needs this holiday season
Brooklyn Nets: The return of a healthy Caris LeVert
The Brooklyn Nets have been a pleasant surprise so far this season, and could actually be in a better position than they are now had it not been for an injury to Caris LeVert, who will likely miss the majority of this season.
However, before his injury, LeVert was having a career year. Before the injury, he was averaging 18 points per game on 48 percent shooting from the field. He was making the jump that the Nets hoped he would make, but everything was thrown off with the injury.
The Nets since have been on a recent tear, winners of seven of their last eight games. Amazingly, they’re within striking distance of a top 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, and that’s not exactly something we thought we’d see from this team this quickly. But a possible return from a healthy LeVert could be exactly what this team needs to get over the hump.
