Miami Heat: Getting some bad contracts off their books

If the Miami Heat don’t want to embrace the tank, fine. I get it. They don’t tank. All that Heat culture nonsense. Cool. If they really think it’s a game-changer for their franchise and a potential recruiting tool in the future, so be it.

However, there’s no question that this team needs to focus on getting some of these horrific contracts off their books if they can. The next couple seasons won’t be about making the playoffs or even making a deep playoff run, it’ll be about clearing their books for potential big-game hunting during the off-season sooner rather than later.

The Heat have some really bad contracts on their books and it starts with the likes of Dion Waiters, James Johnson and Tyler Johnson. Woof.
