NBA Power Rankings: Giannis for MVP; Lakers take a tumble without LeBron
29. New York Knicks (9-28)
The New York Knicks have quietly been the best tankers in the NBA. They certainly don’t have the worst roster in the league by any stretch of the imagination, and actually have some really nice young prospects, but they have the second-worst record in the league at nearly the halfway point.
And assuming that Kristaps Porzingis doesn’t make a return this season, that will continue to be the case. Dave Fizdale is playing his young guys, and giving them the experience that they need to get better as overall players, and giving him the look he needs to evaluate.
Can you imagine the Knicks winning the NBA Draft Lottery and then landing Zion Williamson? So insane.
