As we head into the 2019 calendar year, here are five bold predictions for what we could expect to see in the NBA over the next few months

If we’ve learned anything about the NBA over the last few years, it’s that to expect the unexpected. And that’s exactly what we saw take place during the 2018 NBA calendar year, and pretty much what we should expect to see more of in 2019.

As we hit the near midway point of the 2018-19 NBA season and prepare to ring in the new year, there are a number of storylines in the league that are just getting started. From all the new, rising contenders in the Eastern Conference to the potential signs of weaknesses that are coming from the Golden State Warriors.

Not to mention that we’ve already seen one big name traded away, when Jimmy Butler was sent to the Philadelphia 76ers just a few weeks ago.

So what will the 2019 NBA calendar year hold? Here are five bold predictions for the next year.
