Kyrie Irving backs out of his word, signs with the Knicks

Earlier this season, Kyrie Irving silenced the whispers of him potentially leaving the Boston Celtics after this season, the final year of his contract. He told the crowd in Boston that he would be a Celtic for the foreseeable future, or something along those lines.

You know, he did the good guy thing that all fans want to hear. However, this season hasn’t exactly gone as many expected it to go for the Celtics. Many thought that Boston would be racing through the Eastern Conference and that they would finish as the top seed and make a return to the NBA Finals.

That hasn’t been the case, and the Celtics are currently 5th in the East standings at the halfway point of the season. I predict that Kyrie will go back on his word, takes few meetings and ultimately sign with the New York Knicks during the summer.
