This last trade of the three is geared for the crucial moments in the NBA Playoffs. Every NBA Champion team has to have strong veteran play during the championship runs and a player like Vince Carter would fit that bill for the 2019 Los Angeles Lakers.
Carter would be able to spread the floor well for the Lakers as well as offer high Basketball IQ and great locker room presence. Even though he’s no longer the player he once was during his prime, he’s still a valuable veteran that can make a different come playoff time.
The three of the trades together turn the Lakers from a budding young team to a veteran-laden playoff ready team.
